Detailed itinerary of the 8 Days Wildlife and Gorilla Trekking Safari
Day 1: Arrive and Go to Hotel
You arrive in Uganda at the Entebbe International Airport and you are picked up by a driver guide who takes you to check-in your hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Laico Victoria Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park (Boat Cruise)
Breakfast in the morning then embark on journey to Lake Mburo National Park located a few kilometers off Kampala City requiring you to travel for 3 to 4 hours. The park is known for wildlife safaris and is situated before accessing the busy town of Mbarara. Lunch is en-route and later you reach the park then enjoy an en-route Game Drive as you go to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Game Drive and Horseback Riding Safari
Early morning breakfast then proceed on Morning Game Drive at 6:30 am as you watch many wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation habitat till mid-day when you break off for lunch. After the lunch break, continue to the shores of Lake Mburo to enjoy Boat Cruise along the lake at 2:30 pm where you watch many wildlife animals’ i.e crocodiles and hippos beneath the waters. After the Boat Cruise, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Delicious morning breakfast then transfer to the beautiful Bwindi Forest National Park located close to the border of Uganda and Rwanda. Lunch is along the way then after a while, you shall reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Safari at bwindi Forest National Park
Very early morning breakfast then go to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Gorillas. You are welcomed by the park ranger guide then later joined together with other travelers for briefing on conduct around the Gorillas, Bwindi Forest as well as the other primates/ wildlife animals in the park.
After short briefing, you are allocated into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger guide then after you shall leave to go enter the green forest vegetation habitat to trek the Gorillas for a period of 3 to 5 hours then after a while moving along the trails, you shall meet the Gorillas and stay in their presence taking many photos to keep.
After trekking the majestic Mountain Gorillas, you return to the park headquarters for your Gorilla Trekking Certificate then after you go to you lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up have breakfast then embark on transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Mweya Peninsular as well as the Ishasha sector and by chance, you may watch the tree climbing lions. With lunch en-route, you reach the Park and enjoy an en-route Game Drive as you go to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge.
Day 7:`Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel
Enjoy breakfast in the morning then proceed on a Game Drive along the various tracks in the park watching many wildlife animals wander around their natural habitat then after at Mid-Day, have lunch then in the afternoon, continue for a Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you watch schools of hippo, crocodiles, and wildlife animals along the banks. After the Boat Cruise, return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge.
Day 8: Departure to Kampala or the Entebbe Airport
Breakfast in the morning then depart to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board flight back home.
