Day by Day Itinerary of the 3 Days Mt Elgon Hiking Safari
Day 1: Arrival and get to Sipi Falls
On arriving at the Entebbe International Airport, you are welcomed and picked up by a driver guide who transfers you to the Eastern Part of Uganda at Mountain Elgon National Park. The journey takes you a period of 5 to 6 hours with lunch en-route and when you get here, continue to explore the Sipi Falls situated near Mountain Elgon. After a while, continue to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Sipi River lodge.
Day 2: Guided Nature Walk-bottom of the falls
Today, rise up early in the morning take breakfast at the lodge then later transfer to experience a short guided nature walk from the Mt. Elgon Forest Exploration Centre then transfer to the ordinary community villages of Sabiny people to know more about their cultural traditions.
You will then transfer to your lodge/ hotel for lunch then later in the afternoon, you will proceed to experience a walk to the bottom of the magnificent Sipi Falls as they hit rocks. After, you will transfer to the caves where you will leave back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and overnight at Sipi River lodge.
Day 3: Transfer-Jinja-Departure
Wake up early in the morning, take breakfast then proceed with your journey to Jinja to visit the prominent Bujagali falls and here you will experience white water rafting. You will leave to cruise to the source of River Nile the longest River in Africa. You will break off for lunch in Jinja Town then after transfer to Kampala and en-route, you will break off at Sezibwa Falls. You will reach Kampala to rest in your hotel/ lodge or move to Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
