Detailed itinerary of the 10 Days Uganda Honeymoon Safari Trekking Gorillas
Day 1: Arrive and drive to Hotel
You arrive in Uganda at the Entebbe International Airport and you are picked up by a driver guide who takes you to check-in your hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Laico Victoria Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Mabamba Wetland Swamp & UWEC
Breakfast in the morning then transfer to te stunning Mabamba Wetland Swamp. You shall transfer for a period an hour and when you reach here, you shall proceed on a canoe ride so as to watch the many bird species especially the sought after shoebill stork. After watching, you shall transfer for lunch then later visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) to watch many wildlife animals. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park (Boat Cruise)
Breakfast in the morning then embark on journey to Lake Mburo National Park located a few kilometers off Kampala City requiring you to travel for 3 to 4 hours. The park is known for wildlife safaris and is situated before accessing the busy town of Mbarara. Lunch is en-route and later you reach the park then enjoy an en-route Game Drive as you go to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Game Drive and Horseback Riding Safari
Early morning breakfast then proceed on Morning Game Drive at 6:30 am as you watch many wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation habitat till mid-day when you break off for lunch. After the lunch break, continue to the shores of Lake Mburo to enjoy Boat Cruise along the lake at 2:30 pm where you watch many wildlife animals’ i.e crocodiles and hippos beneath the waters. Day 5: Game Drive and boat Cruise at Lake Mburo
Breakfast in the morning then transfer to the Park to enjoy a Game Drive as you traverse from one track to another watching many wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation habitat. You shall watch many animals then t mid-day, break off for lunch. After lunch, proceed to the shores of Lake Mburo for an afternoon boat cruise and this shall take you 3 hours. On this, watch many hippos and crocodiles beneath the waters and later proceed back to the shores where you leave from to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Delicious morning breakfast then transfer to the beautiful Bwindi Forest National Park located close to the border of Uganda and Rwanda. Lunch is along the way then after a while, you shall reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.
Day 7 : Gorilla Trekking at bwindi Forest National Park
Very early morning breakfast then go to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Gorillas. You are welcomed by the park ranger guide then later joined together with other travelers for briefing on conduct around the Gorillas, Bwindi Forest as well as the other primates/ wildlife animals in the park.
After short briefing, you are allocated into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger guide then after you shall leave to go enter the green forest vegetation habitat to trek the Gorillas for a period of 3 to 5 hours then after a while moving along the trails, you shall meet the Gorillas and stay in their presence taking many photos to keep.
After trekking the majestic Mountain Gorillas, you return to the park headquarters for your Gorilla Trekking Certificate then after you go to you lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up have breakfast then embark on transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Mweya Peninsular as well as the Ishasha sector and by chance, you may watch the tree climbing lions. Day 9:`Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel
Enjoy breakfast in the morning then proceed on a Game Drive along the various tracks in the park watching many wildlife animals wander around their natural habitat then after at Mid-Day, have lunch then in the afternoon, continue for a Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you watch schools of hippo, crocodiles, and wildlife animals along the banks.
