Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park (Trek Gorillas)
Arrive at the Kigali International Airport where you are picked up by a driver guide who takes you through a meet and greet session ten briefing on the Gorilla Safari. He shall then later transfer you to traverse the Rwanda-Uganda border to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
You shall then transfer and reach the park headquarters at the Park where you go through short briefing on condut around the Gorillas thn later, you shall be allocated into groups of 8 with lead ranger guides who inform you about the Gorillas, the habitat and other safari activities you can do in the Park. Later tey shall allocate you lead guides who shall transfer you into the green forest to trek the Gorillas. You shall trek these for a period of 3 to 5 hours following varying terrain and when you meet them, an hour is allowed in their presence taking many photos to keep. After trekking the Gorillas, you shall return back to the headquarters to obtain your Gorilla Trekking Certificate then continue to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.
Day 2: Cultural Encounter and Departure
Enjoy breakfast in the morning then continue to the nearby local communities to enjoy cultural encounters with the Batwa people. On reaching here, you are welcomed then taken through an adventure with the locals as they take you through their traditions and customs.
Later on, you shall transfer to cross the border to Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport where you board your flight back home.
